
| On Friday, January 5, 2007, students from Clinton Avenue
Elementary School, Boyle Road Elementary School and Norwood
Elementary School participated in the 7th Annual
Eastern Suffolk Boces
Celebration of Technology in Education. This was an
opportunity to share some of the" best practices" for using
technology in the classroom. Over 400 students and teachers from more than 15 local Long Island school districts attended this event. It was held at Stony Brook University, Pritchard Gym. Read all about our projects. We are all very proud of our students' accomplishments. Comsewogue School District Projects Jeopardy Classroom Jeopardy is a stand-alone product that just needs a TV
or LCD projector. Students can play Jeopardy just like the game
show. They get buzzers to answer the questions. We have created
games to help review for the upcoming state assessments. Wiki Places: A South American Alphabet Adventure By joining Wiki Places: The Essence of Favorite Places, and using
wetpaint.com, our
fifth graders were able to go on a technology-based
South American Alphabet Adventure. Using PhotoStory to Highlight Student Research Students researched different kinds of bears using the Virtual Reference Collection databases, websites, and nonfiction books.
